This lab is your lab. This lab is my lab.
Please read through the following guidelines for using the lab.
It won't take you a minute, and it could save you some grief down the road.
- No food or drinks in the lab.
- The lab's hours are the same as ITP's other labs. 10am - midnight, Tuesday - Friday. Noon - midnight, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
- The hard drives in the lab computers are erased every Monday morning, so be sure to back up your work! All the audio computers have built-in DVD/CD burners, so you can burn your files onto a disk.
- Please save audio projects and other large files to the computer's Media drive, not the desktop.
- Quit your applications when you're done — Apple-Q on the keyboard — don't just close the windows.
- Software manuals are available in the equipment room.
- If you're having problems and can't find the answer on this site, ask our video resident, Ruth Sergel or our audio resident, Michael Dory. They are in the resident's office (room 441). If you can't find Ruth or Mike, send a message to itp.helpdesk@nyu.edu. Please tell us which computer you're using, and describe your problem as specifically as possible.
